‘On the day he was very unobtrusive and many guests commented on this. The photos he has produced are the most amazing memories of the day.’ – Judith Lennox, 2016.
You’re getting married..! Amazing! Photography for the day is important to you and you want to find the right photographer to cover your day. You’ve searched for ‘reportage wedding photographer Sheffield’, ‘documentary wedding photographer sheffield’, ‘creative wedding photographer sheffield’ or something similar, there’s now lots of lovely websites to browse as there’s lots of amazing wedding photographers in Sheffield and Yorkshire.
So how do you decide who’s the right choice to cover your day. Here are my answers to some of the questions you’ve no doubt been considering….
How do you photograph a wedding?
I’m very down to earth and friendly in my attitude towards you and your guests.
I shoot the vast majority of the day candidly and in true photojournalist fashion to capture those quirky, perfect and imperfect moments that make up the story of your day. However, I can also spend time with you as a couple to capture those stand out couple portraits you may desire and of course keep family and friends happy with some relaxed group shots.
So does that mean you don’t really photograph the small details of the day?
I ensure I show off the little details of the day that show the style and character of your wedding. However I tend to also do this on the go, in the flow of the day. So, I won’t set-up detailed shots, I photograph them in the same way I capture the moments, without interrupting the day and most likely without you noticing.
What makes you different from other photographers, ?
I like to document the day from within, so not as a photographer looking in, my aim is to provide you with a set of images that show the story of the day from yours and your guest’s point of view.
I’m always looking to capture emotion and tell stories within one shot, however where I differ from most of other photographers is how I also focus on quick series of shots, treating each ‘moment’ like a movie scene. (Take a look at the confetti sequence above as a small example).
What’s your experience?
I have twelve years of professional photography experience and actually covered my first weddings longer ago than that for family and friends.
You can be confident I can technically and artistically deal with all conditions.
What are your favorite weddings to cover?
Ohhh, tough one, although as a Sheffield wedding photographer I’ve been to many amazing venues, from Sheffield Weddings to a London Wedding to a York Wedding and to a Stockholm Wedding! For me the most important thing is day’s that show the couple as they truly are, weddings that have real character.
What’s the cost?
£1345.00 is the cost for me to cover your day.
Does it matter where the wedding is and how long you’ll be at the day for?
There are some limitations if the venue is far away and if it’s a longer than typical day, however, this cost will cover the vast majority of weddings.
