Hendo’s, Moody Skies & Mardy Cows..!! (Could this wedding be any more Sheffield..?!)
I had the pleasure of covering Anna & Mark’s (Beard’s) Wedding back in September 2018.
With the ceremony being on the edge of the Peak District at The Norfolk Arms, Ringinglow & the reception being at the bohemian cool, urban venue 99 Mary Street, I was super-excited for the contrasting photographic opportunities of the two.
But, alas the weather clearly wasn’t as keen! And a mainly grey, wet day made it tough going.
However, Anna & Beard were still up for trying to get those stand out wedding shots, much to the seeming bemusement of the drenched, disgruntled looking cows on the old roman road as we battled driving rain and gusting wind..!
For me, this day was a real celebration for what’s cool in Sheffield. Starting at the edge of the ‘stunning whatever the weather’ Peak District, before being transported on vintage bus to a venue that shows off the hipster-ish boom in the city at the moment. With a ‘‘proper’ meal of pie and mash (obviously including a large splash of Hendo’s!) for the main meal and local pop up pizza in the evening, could this wedding have been any more Sheffield..?!
